SCHOOL PRINCIPAL MISTREATMENT OF TEACHERS
NAPTA Encourages Participation Dear Colleague,
You are invited to participate in a research survey titled, School Principal Mistreatment of Teachers, which is being conducted by Professors Joseph Blase and Jo Blase of the Program of Educational Leadership at the University of Georgia (850 College Station Road, Athens, GA 30602; tel. 706 613-8226; e-mail jblase@coe.uga.edu). The results of this survey may appear in published form.
The purpose of this research is to describe teachers' mistreatment experiences with principals, including behaviors and effects of such mistreatment. It is hoped that the information gathered from this study will help future teachers and administrators in their work toward school improvement.
Your participation is entirely voluntary, and you may at any time skip any questions you feel uncomfortable answering or withdraw from participation by leaving the website.
The procedures necessary for participation are as follows:
a. You will access the survey on this website, and then complete it (it requires about 15 minutes).
b. You will submit the survey on the website.Because all completed surveys are anonymous, and because all identifiers will be blocked from the website and from the researchers, your name and web identity will not be associated with the survey.

Mistreatment is defined as verbal or non-verbal behavior or treatment that causes you harm (i.e. psychological, emotional, physical, or harm to your professional work). There are three sections:(A) Effects of Mistreatment (B) Mistreatment Behaviors and (C) Demographic Data.
Most of the questions may be answered by simply checking the appropriate box; other questions ask for brief written-in answers. Were you abused by your principal? Will you participate in the survey?
